Defensive Rookie of the Year: First year Linebacker Josh Vallis, finished 2nd on the team and 5th in the GCFL with 55 tackles. He also had 5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 forced fumbles, and an interception that he returned 34 yards for a TD. Josh is the youngest of the three Vallis brothers (Josh, Matt and Ryan) that all did an outstanding job on the Lawmen defense in 2007.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: First year Running Back / Quarterback Devin Terrell, finished 3rd in the GCFL in rushing with 441 yards on 81 carries and 3rd in the GCFL in scoring with 40 points including 6 TDs. Devin also completed 13 passes for 182 yards when playing quarterback.
Team Player of the Year: All purpose player Justin Paulk did a great job playing QB, RB, Safety, Cornerback and returning punts and kickoffs. Justin's selfless efforts and all around talent allowed him to be a starter at any skilled position on the field. In 2007, Justin started at Quarterback and Defensive Back, and he also played Running Back and Safety and ran punts and kickoffs.
Offensive Player of Year: Second Year Offensive Lineman Ken Curry lead a very strong offensive line that did an outstanding job opening large holes for Lawmen Running Backs and protecting Lawmen Quarterbacks. The Lawen had three different runnig backs that all had 1 or more 100 yard+ rushing games behind this line.
Defensive Player of the Year: Veteran Lawmen Defensive Lineman and Team Captain Chad Hammer lead the Lawmen and the entire GCFL with 69 tackles in 2007 and was an inspirational leader both on and off the field. Click HERE to see and hear Chad's Inspirational speech on YOUTUBE.
